Security logon for FTP server w/ ADS -- iis ftp

Hello,

I just set up a Win2K3 server that is also an FTP server. It is in our
external domain. I set the ftp accounts to be AD accounts. Is it possible
to make them so when they login they don't have to user the external\jdoe
account? I'd like them to be able to use just jdoe and password instead of
putting the domain first.

Yes, is the ftp server part of the domain?
try configure the default logon domain -
FTP Service's DefaultLogonDomain Not Available in MMC

the kb applies to IIS6 as well.
