Both of your questions refer entirely to client behaviour. You will get
more informed opinion by posting your questions to a newsgroup related to
the client software. I'll assume that it's Internet Explorer, and that
would mean your target newsgroup should be
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6.browser

Hi Ng

I am newbie to FTP.

On my WINDOWS2003 server I have an ftp site, where selected users can
download some files.

To access this site, they must use ID and password.

In most cases this works fine, but in 2 cases there were problems.

Issue 1)

Some of the users forgot their ID or password and tried to log on with not
valid credentials, and after some attempts, the Log On box does not show up
any longer!



Issue2)

One test user had his own ID and Password, and clicked the ''Save password''
checkbox on his first log on.

After the test period, I gave the group of selected users a more saying id
and password, and removed the test persons from the security page.

Now he does not get a Log On(no access) to use the new group id and password



I asked him to use Ctrl + F5 to clear the cache, but nothing happens



Is it a client or server problem or both?
