Good Afternoon.
I'm Andrea from Italy.
This morning i have found a problem on my FTP server. I have a Windows 2000
Server Machine with IIS 5.0, an FTP Server with some virtual directory.
Today when i try to connect on my ftp server i have this error: "Unable to
establish a connection with the server". The Server is ok because if i
disable the passive mode it work perfectly. Why my Server Ftp don't accept
more the passive mode? I don't modify nothing on this server.

Andrea

P.s: Sorry for my bad english.

The ftp mode is determine by client side, ftp server will just response with
requested mode.
if you ftp locally at the server, any problem with passive mode ?

This is very common question, as passive mode uses different ports. hence if
you have a NAT or firewall make sure all related ports are open.
