200 Type set to A -- iis ftp

iis ftp : 200 Type set to A

i have a ftp & web site running on the same server with the same ip
configurations & permission but i am getting an error on the ftp "make sure
you have permissions to acces this folder,
Details: 200 Type set to A
227 entering passive mode

i have never seen this type of error before, could someone please point me

what ftp client application you using ? what server you running?
have you try using ftp.exe and ftp locally at the server ?

anything in event log ? iis ftp log ?

In Internet Explorer Internet options, select the advanced tab, an
deselect use passive ftp, choose apply and all should be fin
