iis ftp : Can't find root folder/files on FTP Server
Cerberus server SW. All works fine with several of my friends who have Windows 2K and Windows XP Home (SP-2 NOT installed); they can download files. Another friend's computer that has Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 2 installed can log on to my server OK, but the root folder on my server will not display, and he cannot download any files. Windows XP home does not have the IIS built in; XP Pro and 2K do. I therefore had to use a 3d part app.: Cerberus Server for single user, FREEWARE I found on the web. Although not a IIS issue, I looked elsewhere for help without any luck. I knew you guys would have an answer. Regards, Denny G. Thanks Jeff, I have IIS/FTP set up on my laptop with Windows 2K and have the same problem with the same client, however. I know it is not a server issue; I highly suspect the Windows XP Service Pack 2 update on the client's computer. I figured you gentlemen would be familiar with any FTP blocking issues arising (regardless of server) out of the SP-2 installation. I've tried Microsoft and other newsgroups without success. Anyone have any ideas? Sure. First, it's not an IIS/FTP issue it's a third party FTP program. Try their support. Second, it's one client that has trouble. Look at the client and permissions for that client, not the server software.
what FTP server is that ? as there's no IIS FTP in XP Home.

what application you use to login to the ftp server ?
