Hi,

We have two FTP servers, FTP1 and FTP2.
They belong to two different lans and FTP1 acts as a bridge. (can ping FTP2)
Now FTP1 has a client on it's LAN. This client cannot ping FTP2, being on
FTP1's LAN only.

My question is, is there a way for the client to access FTP2 ?
I tried the quote ftp command but with no luck.
I thought I might be able to execute an 'open FTP2 etc.' via FTP1 remotely
from the client.

Any idea ?

Alternately would there be a way for FTP1 to trigger a DOS batch file on
FTP2 ?

TIA,

Flocon

Not throuygh FTP, there's no "FTP Relay" or the like.

If you don't have access for FTP to the FTP server, the client can't
use FTP. It's really that simple, either provide the access or find
another method to transfer files.

Sure. Not through FTP of course, FTP isn't designed to run remote
commands, but any remote commend process would work.
