iis ftp : Strange FTP problem

HI all,
Strange porblem i am facing, i can login to my ftp
server(win2k server SP4),when i upload any file on the
server it gives me no error instead it says command
successful and these many bytes sent but when i browse the
ftp directory it shows none of the files uploaded.
what could be wrong with my server?

It sounds like the files are not being uploaded to the location where
you expect them to go. Do you have physical access to the server ? If
so I would upload a test file and then do a search for it in Windows
Explorer to find out where your files are being placed.

You could also check the properties of your FTP site in the IIS MMC to
see which directory is specified as the physical location and then
check there.

Lastly, you can check your IIS FTP logs and see whether the upload
really did succeed.

Probably nothing, other than you thinking you're uploading to one
location and you're actually uploading to another. Check the FTP logs
to see that the FTP worked, and search your drive or look at your FTP
settings to find the home folder for the user.

Of course, you could be uploading to a different server entirely...
