Permission virtual directory and website hlossie NO[at]SPAM hotmail.com

iis ftp:
I created "multiple" FTP accounts on my server. Access to each of
these accounts are based on the permissions that i set. In order to
make sure that only the owner of the ftp account can login, i deleted
all other permissions.

As a result, the folder in the website now requires a login which was
of course not my intention.

My question is how i can set limited access to the virtual directory
of an ftp site without limiting access to the website?

Kind regards,

Hugo,

Assuming you wish to allow anonymous access (i.e no authentication
required) to the web sites in question, then you need to grant the
anonymous web user account (usually IUSR_machinename) at least NTFS
Read permission to the underlying physical directories and files.
