FTP Virtual directory inaccessible -- iis ftp

hello all, I have an IIS6 FTP server that I want to create a virtual
directory across domains. I have the proper domainname\username and
password and I can map a drive when properly connecting. I can even right
click on the virtual directory and click explore and create new files. But
when I log in as an FTP user, I get the error that the virtual directory is
inaccessible and it shows up "access is denied" in the IIS Manager. Any
ideas?
