Hello !

I have an Ftp server installed in a Windows 2003 Server Standard with
Service Pack 1.

When i try to put or get a file, the server begin the transfer only after
20/25 seconds.
After this the download start at a good speed.

This happens also when i try to change the remote directory.

The Ftp works fine i i try to DELETE A FILE !

I use Ws-Ftp Pro but it also happens with Cute-Ftp and Ace-Ftp.

Anyone have a suggest ?
Thanks for your help.

Wow.. weird...
Any firewall / proxy in between the client and server ?
or any real time monitoring program installed virus scan, etc on the server?

Same behavior even you try to do this from the server itself?

Not really. Passive mode by default uses port range from 1024-5000. So, it
those ports are block then passive mode will not work. But in the case of
slow? mm...... no clues at all. could it be only few ports are available for
requests? e.g. the rest being blocked or etc?

Anyway, this kb gives you more info about the ftp connection mode.
