Setting up New FTP site and Virtual Directory with VB .NET

Setting up New FTP site and Virtual Directory with VB .NET BobAchgill

iis ftp: I would like some example VB .NET code that shows how to
add a new FTP site in IIS and virtual directory with
System.DirectoryServices. It would be nice if this code
included implementing security. My target platforms are
Windows 2000 and XP Pro.

Also, how can the VB .Net be used to push the user
through installing IIS? As opposed to telling the user
to go through the AddRemove programs to do the IIS
install.

Thank you!

Bernard,

I also posted at:

microsoft.public.dotnet.languages.vb

But no example code turned up.

You might want to try msdn developers group.

Ok. I'm not sure how to you can 'force' IIS installation.
but you can take a look at the unattended setup
How to Change the Default Installation Paths for FTP and the Web
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=259671

or post to windows setup and deployment group to see if experts there
have better way to do this.
