At a command prompt on the client, type "FTP" and hit Enter. At the
FTP> prompt, type HELP and hit Enter.

Hi All,
On a W2k3, I configured with IIS an FTP server which is working fine on LAN.
I connect to internet through a firewalled router with a static IP. I would
like external users to be able to connect to the FTP server.
On my router, I redirected ports 20 and 21 to the IP address of FTP 2003
server. But from outside, I can't connect. I receive the error message
saying: Windows cannot access this folder, check if the the filename is
correct... FTP connection is interrupted.
I tried to disable the firewall to no avail.
Don't know what have I done wrong ?
Thanks
Best
Thanks Jeff,
"using the command line FTP client" ? Please can you be more specific as to
which command line I should use ?
Many thanks.

Test from outside using the command line FTP client so you can see the
return code. Post them if you don't understand them.
