User Isolation Question

User Isolation Question Nordic

iis ftp: Hi -

I have setup an ftp site with user isolation. I have the following
directory structure:

c:\ftphome
\LocalUser
\user1
\user2
\user3

I want to have a user that gets c:\ftphome\LocalUser as its root.
Essentially, allow a "super user" to have access to all of the directories.
I do not want this user to be an admin on the server, just full access to
all of those directories. If the user has a subdirectory under \LocalUser,
then they get put there and can't get above it. If the user does not have
such a subdirectory, I get an error on login saying as much. Any thoughts?

Also, can someone point me to documentation for NTFS permissions on these
folders? (Or best yet, a xcacls script to set them all!)

Maybe a virtual folder would help. Otherwise, user isolation does
just that, isolates users.

That depends on the permissions you want. Check a decent Windows
administration guide for help on NTFS permissions.
