How to trouble shoot FTP connection for single user Joe

iis ftp: Hello Everyone,
I have a Small Business Server 2003 Standard Edition. I have two nics
configured . One nic is external subnet and one nic is for internal subnet.
I have the Router forwarding all appropriate ports to the external subnet. I
get a response from all services configured except the FTP site I've setup.
I want to configure the FTP to be attached to the internal nic and have an
enduser VPN first (for security) then use the FTP service to syncronize
large files. I have removed anonoymous access. I have assigned full NTFS
permissions to the user whom will be using this folder. I have pointed the
home directory to the same folder and I have assigned read, write
permissions in the FTP site property box. The VPN works perfect, if I browse
with a UNC path via the windows explorer I can access the same directories
without any problems. If I use WSFTP to point to the IP I get denied access.
User does not get any response from server. What am I missing???? I humbly
appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

Joey

Sounds like your FTP isn't going through the VPN. Are you FTP'ing to
the internal IP? And if you can VPN, why do you FTP in the first
place, can't a file copy work for you?
