iis ftp : FTP With 2 NIC's

Reposting to unbury it.

I've been working on trying to have 2 FTP sites on one server. One site
requires a password, the other is available anonymously. Non-standard ports
are OK. The site that uses the standard ports works just fine. The other
site will allow a login, but won't transfer any data, or even show it. The
error is "500 Invalid Port Command". If I set the port on the non-standard
site at 2121, what other port will it use? I need to open that port on my
firewall.

The other possibility is setting up a second NIC on the server. Can a
separate FTP site be applied to the IP assigned to that NIC on standard FTP
ports?

Thanks,

Not necessary - Outlook Express, the way that many of us read newsgroups,
has in common with most other newsreaders the ability to thread discussions
and sort them based on date. If you have no response to your question after
a few days, simply post again and ask if there's anyone out there that knows
the answer.

The typical mode of operation by old-time respondents to newsgroups such as
this one is to let "the easy questions" go unanswered, because someone else
will have already posted the answer. Then if the question hasn't been
answered after a few days, they'll jump back in, because it obviously wasn't
as "easy" as they thought.

Alun.

P.S. I've posted an answer to your question in the original thread. A
further piece of advice - if you really feel it necessary to start a new
thread, include _all_ the details of the original thread.
