I have a file server are running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 and recently i
have enable IIS 6.0 to run the FTP Server for mobile users but the ftp
clients have facing problem to access japanese languages folder & file.
I have enable the East Asian Languages on Languages & Region Setting.

The FTP server in IIS 6.0 does not fully support characters outside of the
US ASCII range 0-127.

You may be able to get most of your characters to display using Multi-Byte
Character Support, if the client and server are both using the same
codepage.

In IIS 7.0, we plan to add support for UTF-8 encoding, which will allow a
UTF-8 capable FTP client to access files with Unicode names, regardless of
the codepage in use on either machine.

Alun.
