iis ftp : FTP and IIS6 - service stops regularly
I am encountering a strange behaviour in my FTP service running in an IIS6 win2003 server environment.(eng - no sp1) For unrecognized reason my ftp service automatically stop once every day (generally at the end of the day and not at the same time ever).No particular rule,scheduled task or external factor are involved with this. The ftp site is published internally my intranet area with non access from the outside. Only few users (max 10) access this area. I heve already cancelled the ftp default web site and created a new one. Idsolation mode has not been implemented. All other IIS instances (web sites...) run perfectly. Please ,any hint or suggenstion? Thanx in advance --
Without error msgs, this will be hard to troubleshoot.

thanks for you reply. No errors at all. The system event log reports some daily "W32time" warning (basically a time difference) While the application log report a warning in the Perflib Source:"the data buffer created for the "MSExchangels" or "exoledb" service in directory x:\programf\exchsrv....library is not aligned on an 8.byte boundary. Still in the application log events lot of information about Ms.Exhcange ActiveSync been unloaded and loaded sorry but nothing more Any further hints? How do you the Ftp service is stop ? You can't connect ?

Ok. so ftp does act funny. and not accepting any incoming connection.

I have got few more details. The FTP doesn't not simply stop.As service, stop and goes disabled. Perfmonitor logs that the service stop at the same time when, in the application event log, "the security policy in the Group policy objects has been applied succesfully" - Type: Information - Source: SceCli.
