iis ftp : Security: Allow ftp write permissions to external clients

I have some clients that need to send me large files (10-100mb). Obviously
email doesn't work for this. I'm getting pressure to setup a ftp site that
clients with the appropriate password can post files. Is this my only
option or do I have other options for transferring large files? Does anyone
have a guide for securing a FTP site that allows read/write access?
