IIS and folder permissions problem msuk

iis ftp: All,

I am running an ftp server and many different websites on my Windows 2000
SP4 IIS server. These many websites contains lots of virtual directories
that have the execute permission set.

The websites have been working fine but recently a problem keeps occurring
whereby if a user uploads files to the ftp server the 'Execute' permission on
the virtual directories is removed thus scripts cannot be executed and users
start receiving errors.

Has anyone else come across this problem before?

Thanks
Muk

That's weird. I don't think uploading files via ftp will change the web site
application execute permission. and I assumed the execute permissions is the
web site property 'execute permissions' under application settings. what
does it change to ? none ? or ?
