Hi everybody, I have the following problem:
When I try to upload an .mdb file, the uploading stops after a while.I first
Used windows FTP Service. I changed to SERV-U FTP program but I still have
the same problem. I can't upload databases. Most of the databases had forms,
so I deleted the forms and I tried to upload the file again. This time the
upload was succesful, so I figured out the problem was caused by the forms.
So I continue to work without using the forms. Everything seemed to work fine
for a little while but now the problem reappeared again with databases that
doesn't have any forms.

Does anyone knows why is that?

Are you using Sophos (or any other Antivirus software) on one of the
machines (server or client)?
If so, try disabling it and upload again.

We had some serious problems with Sophos always locking our mdb-files.

You could also try Filemon and ProcessExplorer from www.sysinternals.com and
see if your ftp-client is the only process that is accessing the mdb file
when the hang occurs. If not, you have a suspect ;-)

Yes, looks like file locking issue, if the mdb is being access by IIS or
other apps. you can't overwrite it.
