Cannot access it means? It makes a nig difference in what we suggest
if you get a request to log in and access is denied versus you getting
a server not found error. Post all relevant details.

Use the command line FTP client so you see the response codes. Check
the FTP logs to see if you actually got to the FTP site.

Hi Jeff
I can connect to the FTP-Server locally but not from outside.
I get the following information:

Have you tried changing passive/active mode? Does your ISP possibly
block FTP ports? Are you certain your router is configured to forward
properly? It looks like you're never getting to the FTP server.

Hi Jeff
I tried to change active/passive mode - with the same result.
Everything worked fine under Windows 2000 before I had to change des
harddisk after a head crash.
No the FTP Server is running under XP SP2.
I followed your suggestion to read >
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;875357
I opened the FTP-Server-Programm and Ports 20 and 21
Unfortunately without any success
