iis ftp: windows 2003 server (SBS-actually)
IIS6
ftp installed and (I think) set up right
Default web site.
turned on anonymous access
using DDNS.....
gave read and write access...

I can access the web site at http://crazeelady.no-ip.com

I can access the ftp site internally at ftp://<server-name>

Cannot access it externally

(I forwarded port 21 to the server)

I can telnet into crazeelady.no-ip.com 21

When I try to access the ftp site at
ftp://crazeelady.no-ip.com, I get the following error:

FTP Folder Error

An error occurred opening that folder on the FTP Server. Make
sure you have permission to access that folder.

Details:
200 Type set to A.

500 Invalid PORT Command.

500 'LPRT 6,16,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,228,241,172,2,0,0,0,0,2,12,240':
command not understood

**** I BELIEVE that I have proper permissions set...............
I setup permissions in IIS manager for the ftp site and allowed anonymous
access

What havent I got set up right?

OK

It doesnt work as MS wants you to think it does. It's basically an add-on that
is about a half as reliable as a real FTP program. If you go back through the
threads, you'll see that more than half who try cant make it work right. Of
course, MS blames it on the user, and the techs try to astound you with their
techno-speak that no-one understand as a way to confuse even more. Try a free
FTP app like "ServU".

First, it works fine. Second, Serv-U isn't free.

No, it doesnt work just fine, as noted by all the complaints and question on how
to make it work. And, Yes it is free, just not the professional version.
