FileExplorer FTP fails

iis ftp:

I'm trying to upload files to my webhoster by dragging and dropping using
windows file explorer. I've done it before and I know I have my UIDs and
passwords right but windows trys to copy for a few minutes and gives up
saying that I may not have permission to write.

FTP from a dos windows works fine to the same site. What could be wrong
with Windows Explorer?

No idea, but what's the status code in iis log file?
check with your webhoster ?
