iis ftp: When it's accessed from outside the nw(inside it works), one gets an error
occurred opening that folder on the FTP server. Make sure you have permission
to access that folder. Details: A connection could not be established. This
is with IE.
BUT
if I use Filezilla, with anonymous login, boom, I'm on.
So I have something wrong, yes?

Hi,

There are two items in IE options that you should check.

Go to Tools | Internet Options... | Advanced

Check the line "Enable folder view for FTP sites."

Uncheck the line "Use Passive FTP(for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)"

by setting - Check the line "Enable folder view for FTP sites."
will make IE an active client, regardless of what you set in the "Use
Passive FTP(for firewall and DSL modem compatibility)"

So if Filezilla can access the FTP server with anonymous login, means you
have the FTP server to accept anonymous logins. Is that what you want? If so
it is an issue with IE and would I try the step mentioned in the other
posts.
