iis ftp: Hi all:

This may sound strange, but is there a way to restrict a user account from
using FTP but still allow them to connect to the same directory structure
via the windows file system?

Mm.. I read one post previously that asking the other way around :)
allow ftp but not via windows network share....

Can't think of anyway to restrict this. As ftp user is a windows users, and
both fileshare and ftp using NTFS permissions to control it.

In the previous request, we can specifically block at fileshare level so
that the user can't connect to that share, but your case ? mmm.. as long as
the user know the share path, he/she will be able to access it.

unless, you are remove 'access this computer from network' then you might
have some luck... but I'm guessing the user is not logon interactively at
the server, right ?
