FTP Serving from a Home LAN Tina

iis ftp:
I want to serve FTP from my computer (192.168.0.1) that is connected to my
router (80.123.99.99)(not the real address). My ftp directory on my
computer is c:\inetpub\ftproot. When clients try to connect to 80.123.99.99
they get a connection error. I suspect it is because they are not seeing
through my router into my computer.

How can I make that work?
Thanks,
T

first try to ftp to 192.168.0.1 from either that machine itself or another
one on your lan to make sure you have ftp set up right. if that works then
read the manual for your router to see how to pass the ports in to the
server. if that still doesn't fix it then ask your isp if they are blocking
ftp.

Obvious answer: Make your router work.

Most likely, you're correct and you need to forward the external IP to
the internal IP. But the process depends on your router, and you need
to look at your router's documentation.
