Simple question about user isolation derokk

iis ftp: Hello all,

I'm trying to setup an FTP server on my network with user isolation,
here's my setup:

One server Windows 2003 standard edition (Domain Controller) named
Roger and the other one is Windows server 2003 Standard (file server,
ftp server and web server (web is mostly for development)) named Billy

I've prepared on my ftp server all my folders:

c:\Ftpcustomers\custom1
c:\Ftpcustomers\custom2

Then in the AD i've created the two users custom1 and custom2.

This is where i'm not sure i'm doing good: then i go in command prompt
and setup the ftproot and ftpdir with the iisftp.vbs script.

Is there a way to setup the ftp home directory of my two ftp user on
the server named Billy ? Or the script only work locally ?

Best regards

My understanding is that it should be able to work on remote share.
I only tested on local machine.... use the iisftp.vbs to configure remote
share folder.... any error?

You can use local drive letters such as c: for the FTPRoot - this will then
resolve to the local machine with IIS on it.

also I have written a free tool to make life easier to maintain the FTPUser
and FTPRoot attributes but I guess with just 2 accounts it may be overkill..
