iis ftp: I need to run an FTPd but IIS cannot be installed on the machine. The
client wants to use the MS FTPd rather than a 3rd party FTPd, but as
far as I know, this would require IIS to be installed and running. I
just wanted to confirm that IIS is still required before telling them
they have no choice but to use a third party FTPd. Thanks!

and the service is actually running as inetinfo.exe
services shortname is = msftpsvc
