My problem is I have users that are getting Error 550: Access is Denied whenever they try to FTP a file to the server. My set up are as follows: I have Test folder; and within the folder have folders and files. Lets call the folders in Test as Test1 and the folders in Test1 as Test2. I gave a user to have modify, read&execute, list folder contents, read and write permissions to Test. Test1 and Test2 inherits the permissions from Test. The user is able to FTP files to replace files in Test, Test1 but not to Test2. I'm really lost.

"Access Denied" errors when uploading FTP data You need to ensure permissions are correct in two places: 1) NTFS permissions on the physical directory using explorer 2) Within the IIS MMC console FTP Site to allow read/write on the FTP folder 3) Ensure that the FTP Site or virtual directory actually exists, when checking the above step Err Msg: 530 User <Username> Cannot Log In. All the folder and file permissions are inherited from Test. I have checked

The effective permissions on the Test2 folder is the same as Test folder.
