FTP User Isolation on Windows Serve 2003

FTP User Isolation on Windows Serve 2003 Up_All_Night

iis ftp: I have a windows 2003 server with FTP configured in User Isolation Mode
using Active Directory. I can not find anything on the web or in help files
that tell me how to set up security and home directories for users. I
understand that it has to be set up through Active Directory but I do not
know how.

I assume that my ftp server is working because I get the logon screen when I
go to my site but I cannot log in.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You apply NTFS permissions on the folder just as you would any other folder.
The FTP home directory resides on your server. If you are going to allow
users to Read/Write or Modify in the folder you need to apply Read/Write
access also form IIS.

I have an application that allows you to simply configure the Active
Directory for specific users.

As far as security goes the user account that you grant access to needs to
have at least read access or change rights to the folder if you want them to
upload files etc..

You can also configure User Accounts using the IISFTP.VBS script that is
included with IIS.
