FTP with multiple users

I need to setup FTP on a W2K3 Ent with each user having access to his own
folder. I've created Windows logins for each user, and have created virtual
directory for each user under the FTP site. The virtual Directory name is
the same as a Windows Username. The problem is that no user can login ... more >>
FTP can't upload/create directories more than 2 deep.

Okay, new Win2003 Server install. FTP running in Isolation mode - which does
work.
I've got a problem (that I also had in non-isoloation mode).

I have just setup a win2k server with IIS as our FTP server. I would like
to know how to make it secure .I need to address all those common security
issues so we can opstfiles that only those intendedfor can grab them.

I would like to change the port of my FTP server from 21 to say 9550.
When I do, in command line when attempting to FTP it allows me to
authenticate but won't show any folders in a "dir" command. In IE using
:9550 it appears to authenticate then gives me "500 Invalid Port Command". I

I'm having a problem with the timout on the Win 2k3 server ftp client
session. I'm running a scheduled procedure and if any Remote-Command step of
the script takes more than 60 seconds, Windows is closing the FTP connection

login user to their folder and have theiy own permission?

We had some script files that used ls -l Dirlisting.txt to export a directory
listing to a local file. After LAN support patched the servers this weekend,
it no longer seems to work. ls *.* DirListing.txt works dandy. Any ideas

restricted to the specific user and the system administrators. I have set the

I’m attempting to install a fresh FTP site on my Windows Server 2003. i
think I've added the FTP site correctly, but when I try and browse the FTP

I have an application I've been running for over two years on three different
Windows 2000 Servers, but it fails on Windows 2003 Server (SP1, standard,
32-bit).
The reason the app fails is that IIS on the Win 2003 Server inserts a

Everytime my Server is rebooted, none of my ftp clients can get through until
I type these instructions from the command prompt within the
inetpub\adminscripts directory.

I have the Windows Firewall running and added port 20 & 21 to the
exceptions. When I try to browse the folders using IE I get 'The operation
timed out' although I'm connected.
If I disable the firewall, I can browse the folders but when trying a Copy

to permission........" and the i saw the security event log of windows
