Two win2000 Pro computers on a LAN. I set up one computer to IIS and was amazed at the ease. I had pictures shown in London instantly. Needed to make contact via video so set up the second computer with xp pro. About the same time a son wanted to use FolderShare with me so set it up on the 2Kpro computer. Shortly after I found the IIS dead. Not messing about, I re-installed W2K on the first computer to no avail. I get: Connecting to 203.166.xxx.xxx, connected to 203.166.xxx.xxx, 220 FTP Server (Version 1) ready, USER anonymous, 331 User Name OK, Need Password, PASS(hidden), 530 Not logged in, !Not logged in so quitting. A FTP Client program has been used as that gives the diagnostic information missing when using a Web browser. Please help

Hello Jeff, The log on is egrob.no-ip.info. As it is anonymous and that is the only entry I allow according to Microsoft Instructions, it uses part of the WS_FTP email address as password. When it was working all family and interested persons had to do was to input the No-Ip address - they were never asked for password. I am a bit puzzled by the window referring to administrator. All controls

FTP user account has log on locally right? Password is correct?
Well, try to connect via ftp.exe then post the output here. -- Regards, Bernard Cheah http://www.iis-resources.com/ http://www.iiswebcastseries.com/ http://msmvps.com/blogs/bernard/ [quoted text, click to view] "wgrob1" <wgrob1@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:AC79483B-B93F-408B-A9B4-1B2398B04BBE@microsoft.com... > > > "Jeff Cochran" wrote: > >> On Sun, 9 Apr 2006 01:23:01 -0700, wgrob1 >> <wgrob1@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: >> >> >Two win2000 Pro computers on a LAN.
