ls- l dirlisting.txt no longer works -- iis ftp

We had some script files that used ls -l Dirlisting.txt to export a directory
listing to a local file. After LAN support patched the servers this weekend,
it no longer seems to work. ls *.* DirListing.txt works dandy. Any ideas

In ftp ? no idea. what OS you running ? what patch?
u got invalid command?
