iis ftp: Hi everyone


I having a little problem setting up a ftp in Windows 2003 Standar, I
create a ftp normal and it's working but only with annonymus users but..

The users of Active Directory need be able to enter to the ftp site
using theirs accunts, I can't accomplish this task . What I do it's the
follow create local account and this work find the ftp can validate the
user but there it's no way that the users of the AD can use their accounts.

I will appreciate your help..

As long as the FTP machine is in the same domain or a trusted domain you
should not have any problems.

What you do need to do is specify the DOMAIN\USER format.

So if you domain is XYZ and your user is ABC the user must log onto the FTP
server using a username of XYZ\ABC

It sounds like that is the problem you are having. Otherwise the FTP server
tries to authenticate it against its own local SAM database and hence you
local accounts work.
