I have been searching a way to run a batch file on a server remotely through
a FTP connection. I have been told to use site and a sitecommandname.
However, I am unable to find anything that explains how to create or do this.

With IE7, you can click on a link to a FILE on an FTP site and it will
prompt for your credentials and then proceed to ask to save or open
the file.
With IE6, you get a "page cannot be displayed"... However, with IE6,

I have installed IIS with WWW on a W2k3 R2 server using an answer file so I
could set which components were installed and where the inetpub folder was

I have an FTP site up now on my server2003 system but I don't know how to
setup FTP users and assign them UID and PWD. I've been through the help and
it talk about everything else but no mention of this that I can find. Can
anyone help me with this "newbie question?"

IE7 and IIS

We have a small Windows Server 2000 box that runs IIS 5.0
When users click the FTP link in IE7, they can view ALL the folders!!! We
cannot upgrade this dinky machine to Server 2003 mainly because all our REAL
servers run that and we have our old Windows 2000 license running this

I'm a Windows 2000 Server user and I will be moving to Windows 2003 Web Ed.
I've read that the W2003 handles user isolation unlike W2000 Server's FTP
service.
Does W2003's FTP service allow you to handle multiple domains even though I

I set up an ftp site and it works fine except that when I want to copy over
files I often get a message 'timed out' is there any way to set the timeout
variable? or it may be related to something else
