I have a question that is similar to others that I have read in the posts.
I have an SBS 2003 FTP service runing and can access it internally just
fine.

Except from external, I keep on getting:
ftp> open {MY IP ADDRESS}
Connected to {MY IP ADDRESS}
{and after 10 seconds or so}
Connection closed by remote host.

I have ports 20 and 21 open and pointing to the server.

Any suggestsions? Anything special I have to configure on the firewall
besides my ports?

Address translation? Proxy rules? Have you looked at the FTP logs?
