iis ftp:
This is for http or ftp? You can try deepmatrix livestats which has a who's
on report.
Other log analyzers may provide the same feature, google around.

Hi!

I'm running IIS6.0 on Win 2k3, and got all the servers set up just to fit my
needs. I know in which folder IIS stores the log files, but which viewer is
best for ie. W3C format? And is there a viewer with realtime updating, so
that I can see who is connected to the server in realtime?

Regards,
Erik

Hi!

I need realtime information about the users on my FTP server, and maybe a
monthly overview of number of hits and more on my HTTP server. Livestats
seem to be bit of an overkill, and I would like a free alternative.

Regards,
Erik

You can try analog.cx or awstats :)

There's a place in the FTP server properties (in MMC) that will show you
real time connections, username (if any), connection time, and originating
IP address.

I assume that means that in amongst the myriad of scripting tools that go
with IIS there is something you could use to pull the data from a command
line (rather than digging in the properties all the time.) I don't use
those tools so figuring out how to do that is an exercise left to you to
figure out.

Otherwise though, log file analysis is your best bet. Though those don't
get written to the file system on a "live" basis and are cached in memory,
so it can be expected to be behind by several minutes to hours (depending).
