FTP on Custom Port -- iis ftp

I am trying to set my ftp server to use a custom port.

In IIS, I set the port to be custom and open that port on the firewall.
The traffic seems to go through fine, until I need to run a command on the
ftp server. I am able to log in with existing credentials, but can't enter
any commands like get, put or dir.

Is there another step that needs to be taken to set up the custom port?

Not really. Make sure you are using passive FTP.

Also, try with the command line ftp.exe client first to make sure it works
there. That will spot any issue with the FTP program itself.
