I'll check these out, thanks. In the mean time, I wonder if there is
general agreement that hosting clear-text FTP on a high-visibility web
site poses an undue security risk? I realize that this isn't a
security newsgroup, but it must be something on the minds of folks who
work with IIS/FTP.

From IIS FTP perspective, the general practice is to do this via IPSec or
secure everything inside VPN tunnel.
