Is there anything on the iis side of things that would be preventing the
below from auto logging onto xp pro workstation? I had this working and I've
done something to screw things up and can't it back to save my life.

Can someone please provide me with directions on how can I grant "Write"

IIS FTP is a very very odd piece of work.
If I create a virtual folder for an AD user, that becomes his home
folder. Ok. But is there any way to prevent the user from moving up
one level to the home directory of the FTP site?

I have a weird problem which I cannot figure out. We have a FTP site setup
for a client. They can create a folder in their FTP site and upload files

Sound familiar? This error only occurs when downloading a file from one of
my Win2003 servers to the other. And only sometimes. And somethines after

I've read some MS KB articles that suggest using WebDav for secure FTP file
transfers. Is this a viable solution to replace IIS FTP without a 3rd party
app. for secure files transfers? If so, where can I find a white paper on
how to configure WebDav for FTP?

Chinese characters in file names

Hi!
I can't get chinese characters in file names to work in the IIS FTP. I've
installed the asian language pack on the server, and it works just fine to
have chinese file names locally on the server. BUT, whenever I try to tranfer

hey all, I have a windows 2003 server that only does FTP.
problems is when uploading or downloading large files it falls over?
