iis ftp : Upload account

Hello,

I have an IIS 6.0 running on Win2k3. Some FTP accounts (user isolated mode)
are already running and are working fine. What I need is an additional
account, that allows customers to upload data without having the ability to
list, read or change the data uploaded by other customers before.

The account is also working fine if I set the right "read" or "list"
additionally to "write". But this allows all authenticated users to see
whats already there. When I only set the right "write" I am no more able to
connect to the FTP server.

Any help is welcome.

tanks for your reply,

I tried it, but it did not solve my problem. With this configuration I am
still not able to connect to FTP.

What I need is to give a customer a link like
"ftp:\\MyUser:MyPwd@MyServer.net", which he or she only has to click. After
that the windows explorer should open a window (without a list of already
existing files) and the user can copy files to the server only by drag and
drop something into that window.

We do already work with our customers that way, but everyone who copies data
to us can read and even change data from others. This can't go on.

The problem is solved!

Your link was not the solution but a good hint.
When assigning the user rights in the folders security tab, I never used the
"Special Permissions". All I had to do was removing all "standard rights",
open the "Advanced" window and add a special permission with all "create"
and "write" rights for the desired user.
Additionally I needed "ReadPermissions" and "ReadAttributes".
