iis ftp : Cant access FTP Site
I have an FTP site on a Windows 2003 box. For some reason, when I try to
access it from a Windows 2000 computer I can't access it. If I try from a different Windows 2003 computer, I have no problems. All computers are on the same domain. Any ideas? Thanks, Jasper
Yes I can ping the server and there is no firewall on the windows 2000 box.

Can you ping the server?

Ok,
I'm able to access the ftp site on any computer from the command prompt. BUT, when I use Internet Explorer, I get an Access Denied. I'm using the same username and password but I get this error ONLY from a windows 2000 computer. Any Ideas? Make sure the client computer is not running a firewall or virus scanner or
other "protective" software. Some of those apps will block outbound FTP access. An easy way to test this is to try to connect to FTP somewhere else. Yes I am able to log in! I just can't log in usine Internet explorer.

Able to login and download file, dir listing?
If yes, it could be related to passive mode, if you change IE setting via this KB, can you access via IE?
