iis ftp: Login fails regardless of password -- iis ftp

Hi,

I've setup IIS V5.1 on Windows XP Pro SP2. Everything seems OK except when
attempting to access the FTP site, after typing the password, it fails to
login. I've tried w/o a password and same failure. I have set it up as per MS
website.
I've been attempting to access this FTP site through a MAC computer which is
part of my home network. When I type the login name (username) I can see that
this MAC is "connected" to the FTP site yet the actual login fails.
Any suggestions pls?

Ok, if you connected locally using the same user credentail, works?
if yes, then IIS FTP is working.

try at the xp machine:
c:\> ftp localhost

if can't login, then post the output here.
