Setting up a folder in IIS Ftp

Setting up a folder in IIS Ftp tshad
4/15/2008 2:28:50 PM
iis ftp:
I have a folder I set up that I want only one person to access outside of
the company.

I set them up as a use and tried to access the folder using Windows Explorer
and it openned the folder and I can see it and everything in it without it
asking permission.

It won't let me add anything to it - saying I don't have access but never
asks for credentials.

I set the user permission in IIS pointing at the folder and then looked at
it from windows explorer and the permissions were there.

Also, I can see it if I using IE to get to it: ftp://myfolder.com/folder.

How can I get the permissions to work?

Also, how can I get IE to accept a file and send it if I am in ftp mode. If
I try to drop a file onto the page, it just opens the file.

Thanks,

Tom
