Account to logon to ftp site

I have setup an FTP website on my server and can logon and upload/
download files which is great,
I have setup a user, ftp, on my system to be used to logon to the ftp
website (non anonymous logon).
However, in order to access the ftp website, the account name needs to

Hello,
I'm playing with 2008 server right now. For some reason it seems to take a
very long time to connect to my 2008 FTP virtual directory. Once it
connects, I can transfer files but it takes a long time to connect.

Hello,
It just happen today. Our ftp can't accept upload today.
We have a branch office uploads documents everyday.
We use cuteftp and we get the 'Requested action not taken (e.g., file or
directory not found, no access)'.
We tried different location and got the same result.

We are running a Windows server 2003 network (IIS 6.0) and we host about 9

I have setup a clinet on windows 2003 call them abc I like them to created
and control subdirectories in this folder
(i,e abc creates 123 only 123 can access this folder)

I've followed the setup inscturctions on IIS.net to setup a secure ftp site.
I'm using a wildcard certificate and want to require ssl on ftp connections.
However, no matter what i try, I cannot get an ftp client to use ssl and
connect to the server.
