iis ftp : 2008 FTP Virtual Directory

Hello,

I'm playing with 2008 server right now. For some reason it seems to take a
very long time to connect to my 2008 FTP virtual directory. Once it
connects, I can transfer files but it takes a long time to connect.

Is this the build in iis ftp ? or the new out-of-band ftp component from
iis.net?
anyway - define long? how is the internetworking setup? where is the client
connecting from?
how many vdirs in the ftp sites? give more info, pls.
