iis security: Hi y'll

I need assisatnce regarding abt Internet Explorer 5.0. I
recently had a virus on my laptop, though i deleted it,
some of the effects of the virus still inside the system.

What the virus program did was to change my internet
settings (my home page settings become something else) the
other was change of the 'search' function. Now everytime i
click the 'search' function on my explorer it uses a
different search engine. And even if i click on
the 'customize' button the same search engine appears.

I know i suppose to change something in the "regedit" but
at the moment i'm lost.

You may still have some malware installed. Try AdAware from
www.lavasoftusa.com or Spybot.

However, you will get better advice from an IE (Internet Explorer)
newsgroup. This group is for IIS (webserver) security issues. We are not
experts on IE (browser) issues.
