Number of hits is simple, it's more or less the number of lines in the log
file (except the header lines, which are very few compared to the actual log
entries). If you want more detailed reports Microsoft has a Log Analyzer
tool but I have no idea what's it capable of, our company uses WebTrends to
analyze logs and create reports.

I have a web app running on IIS 5.0. I was curious how much it is getting
utilized. Some investigating and I notice log files
c:\winnt\system32\LogFiles\W3SVC1 with lots of information. Are there any
tools to help figure out how many hits (running an analysis on these log
files perhaps) a web application is getting??
