iis security: Hi

I cannot publish the *.asp files from the Netscape
Composer 7.1 or 4.79, but it works fine if I change the
extension to anything else .htm etc.

Bit on what I am trying to do. At my work place we provide
maintenance support and the procedures are everything to
us, but unfortunately the procedures always tend to
mutate. So I have setup a PWS on my NT4 workstation and I
used Active Server Pages for all of our files. I also
found the N-Composer to be the best suited because it is
installed on all of our stations and when we need to edit
a page we just click "EDIT" and then "PUBLISH" and the
whole thing is done without a need for knowing any URLs
etc. Although the technicians fix the main frames they
just refuse to be bothered by the "Internet" therefore
they will not even come close to the FrontPage. So I have
to make it simple.

Now I am trying to set the same thing up on the Win2K-Pro
box using IIS5.0, but this is what is happening. I can
edit and publish all file extensions except .asp from
within Netscape Composer 7.1. I have changed the settings
to "All Verbs" in Add/edit App Extension Mapping and now
when I publish the dialog returns "Completed
successfully". But the actual file never gets updated.

How can I make the IIS5.0 accept publishing of .asp files
from the Netscape composer?

I don't think this is an IIS issue somehow - I reckon it's a composer
thing.

I presume you tried to change the Verbs on .ASP . Don't do that (it's not
what you want) -- change it back to the original value.

I have no idea what Netscape Composer is doing to publish, though, and
that's going to determine how to set up the web server for publishing
