iis security : IIS 6 Problem,

Hey~

I hate to really say this, but honestly this isn't a IIS 6.0 problem. Since
you can successfully browse using Localhost, you have no issue with IIS 6.0
receiving and executing requests. This problem is a routing issue. My
guess is that you aren't even receiving the requests.

Use the HTTPErr log located in %windir%\system32\logfiles\httperr to
troubleshoot if the request are in fact being received...

Also, on the clients that can't reach the server, try adding a record in the
HOSTS file to the machine that would resolve to the IIS 6.0 server...

You also do not tell us what the error is when you posted, so I would
suggest maybe telling us that and we can probably do a little more than just
make assumptions...

Hi,

Using IIS6, I can browse web pages from the IIS6 box (localhost); but i
can't browse same pages from computers inside our LAN.
It should be some new security thing on Win2003.
Anyone knows how to solve the problem?

Any help would be apprecited,
Ali

Thanks for reply,

You are right. The problem was i choosed intigrated windows authentication.
I changed it to basic authentication and now it works fine.
